Killean

Killean

Killean comes from the Gaelic ‘Cill’ meaning Church and ‘Eoin’ meaning John.  For information on the Medieval Chapel of St John and burial ground click here.  The township of Killean has several ruined houses, barns and enclosures spread across a large valley.  There is also a substantial sheep fank which consists of a large holding pen and three separating pens.
