Cairn at Inch Kenneth

Cairn, Inch Kenneth

This grass-covered cairn is situated 550 m north east of Inch Kenneth House.  It measures about 14 m in diameter and 1.4 m in height.  Some stones are visible on the north side where it has been robbed to provide material for a field wall, and the top has also been disturbed. On the surface of the cairn, to the north east of the centre, there is a stone measuring 2.55 m long, 1 m broad and 0.3 m thick, which may have formed part of a cist.
